Buluwanong Pasko (A Golden Christmas)

Golden Valley Hotel and Suites Christmas
We all just celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ three days ago, yet that joyful feeling still lingers. Christmas is truly a time for us to feel and do something good. For that, it's no surprise to see fellowmen sharing what good they give during the most magical time of the year.

It is truly a Golden Christmas celebration for Barangay Pasil. On December 19, 2018, a huge group of the dynamic team members from Golden Prince Hotel and Golden Valley Hotel volunteered their time and services to join hands and spread the joy of the season to the families living in the barangay. It has always been part of Golden Prince & Valley Hotels’ lifelong commitment to providing the Unique Cebuano Royalty Experience. It is in the company’s DNA to provide hospitality beyond the physical property itself but to extend these blessings to different communities.

This year, the golden team had partnered with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD Region VII). We showed full support for their project known as the 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program). Through close coordination with the DSWD officers and barangay officials, we were able to organize a memorable gathering which composed of fun and games with the kids and mothers. After which, backpacks (bags) filled with school supplies were provided to the children in preparation for their schooling after the Christmas break. The activities were then concluded with a hearty lunch happily prepared by the Golden culinary team.

The dynamic volunteers were led by Operations Head, James Fernandez. They were also closely supervised by our tenured employees: Nerea Mendaros (Executive Housekeeper), Lelet Velasquez (Sales Manager), and Odette Rosell (Senior Sales Team Leader). The team of employees was gathered from different departments ranging from Human Resources to Front Office to Security to Food & Beverage and many more! It was highlighted during the event that we must live the spirit of Christmas beyond just this season but throughout our lives. That we must show gratitude to the Lord for what we have and be content of what we receive. And also, rather than expecting to receive presents (gifts); our presence must be highly felt by our loved ones. Because being physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually present in these moments with those we care about is the most important gift of all.

On this note, Golden Valley wishes everyone to have a GOLDEN Yuletide season!
