Staple Pieces for Holiday Shopping

I am pretty sure that I'm not the first person to break the good news to you that the HOLIDAY season is finally here. Have you assembled your Christmas trees and started wrapping holiday gifts already? I haven't! I'm still trying to finalize what should be on my holiday list including what pieces should I rock this Yuletide season. That's an old-age question that never seems to grow out of magic. I honestly find it a bit stressful to think about it, but it's also one of the most wonderful feelings during Christmas. If you're anything like me who haven't started their holiday shopping yet, despite the fact that Black Friday sale has gone by, I have here some staple pieces for us to look chic amidst the definite hectic shopping game that lies ahead. Who says you can't look stylish when shopping? I always think that shopping is another good excuse to go out in style while of course, not sacrificing comfort. Comfort is essential when you have to go boutique hopping to score that perfect gift. From cute cardigans, skirts, to comfy pants, you're going to love reaching for the pieces of clothing below.
I could never let go of my classic black pants, be it fit or loose. I just love how I could just easily pair it with any top and boom, I'm ready to go! However, I have started pulling out a Long Casual Striped Pants out of my wardrobe. Stripes are one of my favorite patterns and I've figured out that it works well with any top just like my good ol' black pants. I also fell in love with loose pants as they make my busy days where I get to move around and be active so much easier, perfect if you have to grab the shoes of your dreams below the rack!
While you can always wear your pajamas and leggings in the most flattering way, it's great to experiment with fabric and patterns - something that I'm into lately. One of the pieces that I adore is Long Fitted Gingham Pants. We all know that ginghams aren't anything new, but I bet we can also all agree that they never go out of style! Try putting on gingham pants which scream Christmas by its holiday colors such as red, green, and blue, and you're definitely off to get that stylish shopping vibe.
When I'm feeling extra feminine when I'm about to go out, I always opt for a skirt. Not the short and tight-fitting ones but the comfy yet romantic ones such as Bootcut Yarn Plain Skirts. I love the fabric used in most yarn skirts and how I could easily pair them with any top. I would suggest getting the plain-colored ones so you can pair it with any top. I'm thinking tops with different patterns and prints such as polka dots. I also think that anything in red is instantly chic so if you have the chance, secure yourself with different women's bottoms, tops, and dresses in that passionate color. This becomes a staple piece for me because we can also wear the skirt on other holiday festivities - not only when shopping.
Any fashion enthusiasts would tell you that single-breasted plain skirts such as this Asymmetric Hem Single Breasted Plain Skirts are one of the trendiest pieces to wear. If you're not a fan of pants, some girls really do, then a stylish asymmetric skirt is perfect for you. It's hassle-free to wear and can be styled in so many ways possible making it a perfect holiday shopping wear clothing. As seen on the skirt from the online store Luvyle above, the hem also gives it an extra visual interest. If you want to stay warm, pair with ankle boots.
Don’t wait until spring to pull out the bright tops such as this Snap Front Striped Cardigan. The holiday season could get a little bit more chilly so when shopping outside, you may want to consider layering - a classic and a flattering way to say warm yet so stylish. Though some may associate colors to specific seasons, it doesn't hurt to take out an extra cheer and warmth wearing one.
Who says you can't wear a cardigan and be trendy? A cardigan in a bold color will give your overall look an instant spice. The secret lies in choosing a cardigan with a few flashes such as stylish cuts or tassels like Asymmetric Hem Tassel Cardigans. You can never go wrong wearing a cardigan - since it has what I want to call the three C's in clothing perfect for a whole day of shopping around the city - comfy, casual, and cozy. You can wear it with pants or skirts, or regardless if it's sunny or rainy.
I always believe that an unexpected pop of color will make any look anything but boring. These past few days, I've been eyeing tops that incorporate rainbow colors. I was never a fan of seeing rainbow colors in one outfit before but somehow, I now adore seeing them together. I can't even explain why, but I feel like wearing something with the vibrant colors that we all charm will make our holiday shopping so much better especially if it's on your beloved sweater! Above is one sample of Round Neck Striped Sweaters that you can easily put on and accessories. That's one of the best things in wearing something with rainbow, you can easily accessorize your outfit because of the colors. Plus, you get to show your love to the LGBT community. After all, Christmas is a jolly and bright holiday.

  1. Hey dear amiga, hope you're doing great! Thanks for your constant support on the media ;)

Yes, we're always talking about going shopping but what is the best thing to wear when you're going to the shopping mall or to a boutique? Hahaha, such an interesting question to put on the table! I love to know more of your style options, you should share these options more often :) Personally I prefer something that I can easily take off and take on since I'm supossed to try on different clothes, but personally I like to wear comfortable shoes haha!

    Best regards dear

  2. Awweeee gracias Pablo! I'm really just a shirt/sweater + pants kind of girl when I shop. I love good shoes but you got the point, I also consider something that I can take off easily when I shop, hence, I wear sandals or loafers. The latter being more comfy. Shhhhh, you got the best questions to ask, you can ignore my petty ones!ahahaha <3
