Ever Bilena Matte Liquid Lipstick in Toast of New York (Review)

I'm one of those girls who daily use one or two lipsticks despite having a lot of their makeup kits. My favorite and go-to lipstick of all time is MAC Cosmetics' matte lipstick in Russian Red. And that's simply because it stays all day and doesn't make my lips dry. It also has the best scent out of all the lipsticks I have so far.

Despite having my go-to lipstick, I still enjoy trying out new lip products. Trying out local cosmetics brand is no exception. Earlier this month, I added Ever Bilena Matte Liquid Lipstick in Toast of New York to my plethora of lippies.

It's one of my best makeup purchases hence, I'm writing this review.
Product Description:
A velvety matte liquid lipstick that lasts long on the lips. Provides an intense, vibrant and bold color on the lips and it contains ingredients that help moisturize lips.
 PACKAGING
The liquid lipstick is simply packaged in a tight plastic seal. No box, no extra packaging styles. It's similar to the usual drugstore lip products that we see. It also comes with an applicator. The product's ingredients and manufacturing details are all written on the tube together with the name of the brand and its shade.

If I am not mistaken, Ever Bilena did a revamp on their packaging which is actually good as it shows how innovative they are as a brand. I also love the way they name their products, just read the name of the shade Toast of New York - it's so original! This may sound weird but it did conjure a number of images about New York in my mind. Though I've never been to New York. lol

PRICE
Ever Bilena is selling their liquid lipsticks for only 185.00php. A very affordable price for most Filipinas. I bought mine in one of their beauty outlets in a local mall.
SWATCH
What I love most about this lipstick is its shade. It's very similar to the trendy lip colors these days which is wearable for daily use. It's hard for me to describe the shade though you can see it in the photos. It's sort of a combination of red, brown, and pink. It's also not too bright and not too dark. It's a pretty neutral shade so don't be surprised if somebody from your school or office will ask you what lip product are you wearing on your lips. It did happen to me!

It's also very pigmented that one or two swipes are enough for you to fill in your lips with its color.
Here's a photo of me in full makeup using the lipstick. It looks a bit shiny on the photograph since I top it with a clear lip gloss.
PRO's:
- available in various shades
- smells good (it has this very subtle cocoa smell)
- long-lasting ( it could last up to 4 hours w/out any re-touch)
- matte but moisturizing at the same time (it never made my lips feel dry)
- has a very pigmented color
- affordable
- colors could be a dupe for high-end lip products

CON's:
- could be a bit sticky ( but it's not bothering since it's tolerable)

I am very satisfied with it and I'd be more willing to buy another liquid lipstick from Ever Bilena and try the other shades.

Some drugstore products would make you hesitant to purchase it but this one's a real staple.

I hope this review helps if you are looking for a local and affordable lipstick in the Philippines.

love lots,
Tin

  1. I'm thinking of reviewing this as well! I'll go ahead and buy a shade or two to review. Curious if it will also last on me for up to 4hrs.
