Back when we were three,

We rejoice over rainbow popsicles

and gentle tickles.

And though there were monsters under our beds

We feel safe under plastic stars and bedtime reads.

We don't care about the chocolates between our teeth.

We solo dance in every parties, oh we never got cold feet

But that was long ago

That was two decades ago

We realize we got older than ten.

Hello beautiful creatures! Written above is a song (technically, it's not a song because it doesn't have a melody, but I'd like to call it one because I sing it when I read it) I just finished writing a week ago. I don't feel exactly well for quite some time and the pain makes me reminisce about my childhood. Though it isn't perfect, it feels way better than today.
Here's to growing old!
