MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation in NC35 Review

   I've been meaning to write another review on my blog since it's been a while since I did it. I made some beauty product purchase and there's this one product which stood out from the rest for a number of reasons, hence, this blog review. It's no other than the much-coveted MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation. While I don't wear foundation every day, I feel that it is a makeup kit essential for everyone. Not to mask out one's beauty, but to enhance it. 

   For my MAC Foundation, I went to Rustan's - an upmarket department store in the Philippines, where I got to check the product first hand and see which of its shade would best match my skin tone. An aside, Rustan's beauty department staff was very accommodating and helpful, so shoutout to them! 

  After a few swatches, I decided to take home with me the one in the shade called NC35. From what I've learned, NC (Neutral Cool) is meant for warmer skin tones to neutralize them. It has a yellow undertone which is perfect for many Filipinas. Plus, it matches my skin so well that it really feels like I don't have anything on my skin all while making its color even out and healthy-looking. 

We put M∙A∙C Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 to the ultimate test of seeing how long it wears and, not surprisingly, the formula lasts for a full 24 hours! It applies, builds, and blends easily and evenly while controlling shine. This modern foundation combines a matte finish and medium-to-full buildable coverage with broad-spectrum SPF 15 protection.

Always apply to a well moisturized and prepped skin with the 132 Duo Fibre Foundation Brush for a studio ready flawless face! Apply product to the center of the face first (or where you want more coverage) then use the brush to blend to the outer regions of your face.  

Tip: Try mixing Studio Fix Fluid with your favourite moisturizer or oils to create a sheerer luminous finish.

I got the foundation for 1,950php (38.49USD). On their website, it costs around $35.00 plus their shipping fee. Though the price breaks the budget a little, I still have reasons why it's worth it. Let's talk more about the pros and cons below.

     Consistency-wise, the foundation isn't watery or too sticky. I love its texture and how it goes to my skin when applied.
     Above is a side by side before and after photo. It may not look dramatically different but personally, it evens out my skin tone. I'm also really happy with my choice of foundation shade. It's perfect on my skin. Also, the foundation has a little little bit of idk shimmer dust, I'm not 100% sure what it is but every time I wear this foundation, my face seems so glowing. Making me feel extra good about my look even with my most minimal makeup ensemble consisting of with foundation, lipstick, and eyebrow wax.

I totally recommend Mac's foundation. It's a bit pricey, but then so worth it when it comes to its results and quality. No wonder why it's been on a must- have list of countless makeup artists around the globe.
