DIY Gold Spiked Cap
WHAT YOU NEED:
- black cap
- spikes
- studs (if you want)
- needle & thread (black)
- scissor (to cut your wrist,JOKE!,the thread /:)
Inspired by my favorite fashion bloggers, I always wanted to have my own spiked/studded cap. Not only does it add more edge to anyone’s outfit, but it is also very versatile! One can think of thousands of ways to spice up an outfit just by having a gold spiked cap.
Considering the fact that you can’t always have what you want, why not make what you want instead? Since spiked caps sold online and in malls are very expensive, a DIY project became my solution. Here’s how I made my own gold spiked cap.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
- Before anything else, make sure you have everything you need. (See list above.) Some materials may vary according to your preference. For example, you can use fabric glue to attach the spikes if you’re not comfortable using a thread and needle. If you’re going to use a thread and needle to attach the spikes, make sure the spikes you have contain holes in them.
- Arrange your spikes and studs in the spaces where you want them to go. Make sure they are evenly distributed and properly spaced. You can place them close together or far apart—it’s all up to you, beauties! This is where you’re free to use your creativity. ;)
- After deciding where you want to place your spikes and studs, attach the spikes using a thread and needle. Add the studs for more edge! Check if your studs come with nailheads for easier attachment. If not, you can use fabric glue and apply it using a toothpick.
- Repeat adding your desired spikes and studs until you’re happy with the outcome.
- Voila! You may now wear your gold studded cap. :)) Wear it with style and a smile!
Here’s what mine looked like:
Note: It didn’t have studs because I always failed to visit any fashion stores. Lol.
