I’ll forget everything about you
like how the sun forgot to bid goodbye to the moon
like how the flowers forgot they were once seeds
like how the sparrows forgot they were once egg
like how the ashes forgot they were once a burning wood.

 I’ll forget everything about you
Like how I forgot
everything I learn about last semester’s Math
the lyrics of an old familiar song I used to sing
the stanzas of the poems I used to dissect with all those mimetic bullshit.

Yes, I’ll forget everything about you
Yet whenever my heart I attempts to
my mind chooses to wander
in the galaxies of your eyes,
in the forest of your hair ,
in the curve of your most delicate mouth,
and  even in the lines of your fresh laundered polo shirt.

I‘ll forget everything about you
I’ll even forget who I am and what I have to
If that’s what it takes.
Yes, I’ll forget everything about you
But

How am I supposed to?
