Easy Matcha Latte Recipe
Every time my friends and I visit a café, a matcha latte or a cup of coffee is always part of my order. While green tea isn’t everyone’s favorite, I fell in love with it the very first time I tasted it—and you could say I’ve been slightly addicted ever since. From matcha-flavored KitKats to pastries infused with green tea, it’s a flavor I keep coming back to. No matter how many options there are, green tea will always have a special place among my favorites.
To share my love for it with you, I have a very easy recipe for making my own matcha latte. I usually have a cup when I want to feel relaxed. You may have this hot or cold, but I usually drink mine while it's hot.
For this recipe, you will only need four ingredients:
- matcha green tea powder
- sugar (white/brown)
- hot/cold water
- creamer
Procedure:
- Mix your green tea powder and sugar in a cup. There's no exact measurement here; you may add as much or as little green tea and sugar as you prefer. More matcha means a stronger taste.
- In a separate cup, mix hot water and creamer. Of course, you may use any creamer than you have. In my case, I use a local coffee creamer. It works well just like any other creamer.
- Pour the hot water with creamer into your green tea mixture.
- Stir your drink and enjoy your homemade matcha latte while it's hot.
love lots,
Tin
