The Grateful Blogger Tag
Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for everyone who has been a part of my year 2014. The previous year was of course a mixture of laughter and tears but I am grateful for what it brought to my life. Some things aren't good but I sure do have thousands of things to thank for. I'm sure you have your fair share of them too and I could only wish for all of us to start the year fresh and with a bang!
In this post I will scribble a list of the things/people that I am thankful for. This wouldn't be possible without the amazing Janine of Lime & Life tagging me. Thank you Jan! You are amazing! I know this post is not enough to contain the what I should be grateful for but I'll just try to limit my list to 10.
And here goes my list:
1. My family
My family is my pride and joy for all of my life. I might be a mess or a gem but whatever I am, they are always there for me. We are not the perfect family that everyone would wish for, we don't have all the glam and golds either. Each of us have our own flaws but I love all my family members. If everyone would turn their backs on me, I know deep inside me that just like God, my family are the ones who will never leave so I am very grateful and proud to have them in my life.
2. My friends
There are times that our family couldn't give us what we need. In those times, our friends are the ones who can bring the joy back in our lives.I am a firm believer that a person could have hundreds or maybe millions of friends, but the real ones we couldn't count beyond our ten fingers. That's one of the things that I've learn from dealing with people. Not everyone will be with you especially on the times of trouble. I am grateful for my friend who stayed with me through thick and thin. Somehow, they made me feel that my life is complete.
3. My crush
Gosh, why is he included here? lol We are not in a relationship and I have no idea if he likes me too but I am grateful that he came into my life because he inspired me in so many ways possible. That includes studying really hard.
4. The people who hurt me
I'm not being negative here but with them, I wouldn't meet the people who love me. I believe we meet everyone for a reason. Not everyone will bring us happiness but I'm pretty sure we will always learn something from everyone we meet.
5. My blog & my readers
I consider my blog as an outlet of my passion while my readers are the fuel that keeps it working. My blog has given me countless opportunities of learning new things and meeting amazing people like you! I thank each of you for your support. Without you, I wouldn't have learn so many things. Thank you for being my friends too even if our relationship is only virtual. I'm grateful for everyone I met by blogging.
6. My job
I took pride in buying all the things I want by working for it. I thank my parents for never spoiling me into getting something. I am grateful for my job because it (my salary) enables me to do and buy the things that I need.
7. The workshops I've attended
For the year 2014, I've attended two writing workshops and a Calligraphy workshop. I am more than thankful for the opportunity offered in front of me and for the things that I've learn.
9. My talent
I don't want to sound so narcissistic here but I am grateful of the things that I could do- my talent. Each of us have our own talent and I'm just happy that I know mine. I know there are people who are better than me but I also know that I have so much potential to learn.
10. Everything
Last but not the least, I am grateful for everything that has happened at the previous year. It's a complete fusion of pleasure and pain. I am grateful for everything because without them, everything would mean nothing.
Thanks for taking time to read and for being a part of my 2014. Happy New Year and cheers for this year!!! How about you guys, what are the things that you are grateful for?
love lots,
Tin
