A perfectly clear or “white” face is not the standard—and it never should be. What truly matters is having skin that looks bright, healthy, and well cared for. That’s not about meeting unrealistic expectations; it’s about feeling good in your own skin and owning the way you show up in the world.
You’ve probably heard the line, “How can you solve a problem if your problem is your face?” Honestly, that mindset is outdated. Our faces are not problems to fix—they’re ours to understand, care for, and celebrate. And if we choose to use skincare, it’s not out of insecurity, but because we deserve to feel confident and empowered.
As for me, I’m grateful that I don’t have much to cover on my face. It means I can keep my routine simple and focus on enhancing what I already have, rather than trying to hide it. No heavy-duty products—just what works for me.
PACKAGING
The packaging of the cream is nothing special. It's just a plastic tube where you have to do a little squeezing to get the cream out of it. Nothing fancy, but I love how they provide all the facts that their customers have to know when buying their product. A detailed description of the product, including its ingredients and manufacturing information, was all written on the back of the tube.
PRICE
I bought the BB cream for 120.00PHP, that's 2.655 USD. A very affordable and reasonable price. Perfect for students who are still saving up.
WHERE TO BUY
Careline BB Cream is available at Watsons nationwide. It is also available in the beauty or body essentials section in some malls.
The Careline BB Cream in Fresh has a pink undertone that instantly brightens the skin. While it can give a lighter-looking finish, choosing the right shade for your skin tone is what truly makes the difference. This shade works best for those with medium to fair skin, while deeper skin tones may find a better match in shades with warmer or yellow undertones.
Careline BB Cream comes in three shades—Fresh, Nude, and Tan. Fresh is the lightest, Nude suits medium tones, and Tan is the deepest shade, though it still leans on the lighter side compared to a wider shade range.
Below is a before-and-after shot so you can see how the BB cream performs. The photos are unedited, although the lighting isn’t the best—it’s a bit too bright, especially around my forehead. I might retake them to show a more accurate result, but even so, you can already see the difference it makes.
Uhm, yes—this is my
bagong ligo look, hahaha. I really gathered all my confidence for the sake of this review.
Charot!
As you can see, I don’t have a lot of pimples, but I do have some uneven skin tone, especially around the center of my face. The coverage of the cream is just okay—but honestly, what can you expect from a ₱120 BB cream? Still, I love how it evens out my skin tone and gives me a more put-together look.
I usually use Careline BB Cream on days when I’m not going anywhere special—just my everyday, “I still want to look fresh” kind of days. Based on my experience, it lasts around four to five hours without needing a retouch. But if you’re oily or sweaty like me, you’ll definitely want to set it with face powder.
The only downside for me is the scent. It’s a bit hard to describe, but it has that familiar “cheap makeup” smell—you’ll know it when you smell it. It’s not terrible, just slightly noticeable, especially if you’re sensitive to fragrance. Personally, I can tolerate it, but if you’re particular about scents, it might be something to consider.
PRO's
- very affordable
- evens out skin tone
- lasts long considering its price
- readily available
- doesn't feel heavy on the skin
CON's
- has a somewhat bothersome smell
- doesn't come in so many shades
Careline's BB Cream isn't definitely the best out there, but I think it's a decent one considering its price. I think it's perfect if you don't have to go somewhere really special. If you've tried the BB cream before, let me know your thoughts about it in the comments section below.
love lots,
