I Talked to Poseidon About You
I've been sailing solo
for some time.
Drifting in the sea of
shallow new waters,
I've seen too many fishes
come and go. Vicious sharks, too.
Dearest, I got to be honest,
I still feel the waves of the past.
Questions float in my mind:
should I go with the flow or
go against the tide?
At 30, I never knew how to swim
But lately, I find this azure heart
Ready to dive into love,
Hoping to see you in the deepest sea.
Certain that 36,070 feet feels safe
When I'm with you.
You might find this strange,
Maybe funny too,
As I sink into the ocean of dreams,
I've been asking Poseidon
to carry these thoughts
to waters that lead to you.
