AC Motors, owned by one of the oldest and largest business group in the Philippines, Ayala Group of Companies, now brings you: Volkswagen, Kia, Maxus and many more. Along with some friends, we got the chance to feel the #ACMotorsExperience when they gave us a tour in their showroom.

Kia started in 1944 as a manufacturer of steel tubing and bicycle parts, moves to making complete bicycle in 1951.They changed their name from Kyungsung Precision Industries to Kia Industries Inc. And begins manufacturing motorcycle for Honda in 1957. Then in 1962, begins manufaturibg the B360 3-wheeler truck licensed under Mazda.
From making steel tubing and bicycle parts they venture they opened Kia Motors North America in 1992. In 1994, Kia begins Kia Brand retail sales in the US in Portland, Oregon.
In 2018, Philippines, AC Industrials acquires distribution rites for Kia in the Philippines.
Along with Kia Motors and Maxus, another flagship brand under AC Motors is Volkswagen. It is an automobile brand with a long history and innovative line of cars. The Volkswagen Lavida and Santana are among its best-selling cars.
In 2013, Volkswagen returned in the Philippines. Volkswagen Group, world’s largest automaker with its headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany appointed Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc. (ACEI) as the sole Volkswagen Importer for the Philippines – named as Volkswagen Philippines.
May 27 2013, with Fernando Zobel de Ayala President and CEO of Ayala Corporation, Weiming Soh Executive Vice President Commercial Operations Volkswagen Group, Greater China/Asean and John Philipp Orbeta President and CEO of Ayala Automotive Holdings is the official signing cermony that was held in HongKong.
Maxus, one of Europe’s most influential and recognizable commercial brand, it is not only accumulates a century-old development experience of commercial vehicles and strong technologies, but also leads international commercial vehicle market with its constant efforts of innovative expansion.
Out of all the cars on display at AC Motors, Maxus G10 is by far the most promising when it comes to various function and comfort. The car has a charging outlet, a drink holder, a spacious baggage area, and sliding chars which can occupy 9 persons in total. Know more about MaxusG10 in this video.
