Christmas songs, charming decors, and glistening lights will fill Summit Galleria Cebu as they begin their festive activities on November 15, 2019 (Friday) at 6:00 PM. Join the hotel as they mark the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year by lighting up their dreamy and sparkly 12-foot Christmas Tree. This year's theme is inspired by Cebu's version of extra rice, triangular-shaped rice wrapped in coconut leaf strips called puso.

As Christmas is also the season of giving, Summit Galleria Cebu wishes to inspire guests through their "Galing sa Puso" program. The Cebuano staple has been fully decorated as a Christmas ornament that people will see hanging in their "Puso Tree of Hope". Everyone is encouraged to pick up puso ornaments hanging on the tree, share their donations and in doing so be an instrument of hope for others in need. Aside from being part of the hotels' Christmas decorations, you will also be helping the children of Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary as all proceeds will be given to them.

Christmas Book Drive

There is another opportunity to share one's blessings to children in need. Summit Hotels and Resorts is introducing a Christmas book drive for children in need in the hotel's respective communities. The Christmas Book Drive will kick off on Nov. 15, 2019, and will continue by

January 2020. Hotel guests, employees, and partners are encouraged to join Summit Hotels in collecting new and pre-loved books for children from 0 to 12 years old. This Christmas book drive was inspired by Mr. John Gokongwei, Jr., an avid reader who has helped build institutions for learning as well as give the underprivileged a boost in life through scholarships. Donated books will be given to Summit Hotels' chosen charity serving children in need this Christmas.

Train for FREE with New Balance Running Club’s Couch to Cebu Marathon 2020

Run faster and run better as New Balance Running Club’s (NBRC) launches its Couch to Cebu Marathon 2020.

All Cebu Marathon 2020 participants get the opportunity to train for free with three New Balance pacers with different time targets (6.30, 7.00 and 7.30 min/km pace). New Balance Ambassador, Rovilson Fernandez will pace on the race day, January 12, 2020.

Couch to Cebu Marathon 2020 is a Six-Sunday long run training that will start on November 24. Participants will receive a Couch to Cebu Marathon 2020 Stamp Card upon signing up. This card will be stamped on and validated after every Sunday run they participate in. The spirit of “RLove” is palpable all over the mall starting today, November 15, as Robinsons Galleria Cebu kicks off its series of activities for the yuletide season. What is RLove? Robinsons’ mission is to bring together everything we love about the holiday season. For some, it will be the presents and food while for others, it’s the reunions and festivities. For others still, it’s simply the warmth and joy that abound during this time of the year. Whatever it is, RLove encompasses all these experiences that we all love the most about Christmas.

Today (November 15), Robinsons Galleria Cebu is set to unveil its unique Christmas Tree decked with vintage feels, and adorned with the classic red and gold Christmas balls, fairy lights, and vintage houses.

The activity will be opened by Christmas performances by Adlib. It will also feature performances from children of Rise Above Foundation as well as students from Umapad Elementary School. These two organizations are chosen beneficiaries of Robinsons Galleria Cebu which will be turning over gifts to the children during the program.

Following the ceremonial tree lighting, which will be led by officials of Robinsons Galleria Cebu and other invited guests, Cebu-based band Three Legged Men will also entertain attendees with their performances.

Aside from the Christmas Tree, Robinsons Galleria Cebu will also feature a Christmas House and a vintage pickup truck on display at the activity center together with a countdown display on the days til Christmas Day.

To celebrate the start of Robinsons Galleria Cebu’s countdown to Christmas, there will be a Pre-Holiday Sale from November 15 to 17 wherein discounts of up to 70 percent off will be available in select stores. Several other exciting Christmas activities have also been lined up by Robinsons Galleria Cebu including the Yuletide Concerts every 6 P.M on November 22 and 29, and December 6, 13, and 20 at the Verandah.

The Coral Catwalk Fashion show for cause, featuring the Binibining Cebu candidates is also slated on November 23 at 5 P.M. This is in cooperation with Go Grow Glow Cebu.

Christmas Arts and Crafts activities are scheduled on November 24, 1-5pm: Christmas card & Creative gift wrapping by Artissimo, December 7, 1-5pm: DIY Christmas Décor by Richie’s Pixie Dust, December 8, 1-5pm: Make your peppermint slime by Tinkerhouse, December 20, 2pm & 4pm: Christmas storytelling and carols with Clowning Around.

Kids will also be delighted with the Mr. and Mrs. Claus Meet and Greet on December 13, 14, and 15 at 4 P.M. inside the Christmas House in the Mall’s Activity Area.

On December 21, there will be a Character Meet and Greet at 1 P.M. and 4 P.M. while on December 22, there will be a Santa Paws at 3 P.M.
