Postcards from Medellin
They said that going far away from home can change one’s perspective on life. For the past few weeks, I’ve been MIA from the world of blogging. I had to pack up my things, travel five hours away from home, and try to fit in. Of course, I missed my life in the city, my family, and everything within my comfort zone. We were required to go to Medellin and live there as part of our course requirements. Solitary nights made me want to go home as soon as possible, but the genuine smiles of the people in Medellin made it a place worth missing.
Not everything that happened in Medellin was wholesome; some experiences were frustrating or rather disappointing, but all of them were worthwhile. Staying in Medellin, a municipality located in the northern part of Cebu, not only teaches me something new about my chosen field of study, but also about life in general.
