Wedding Dresses You Can Wear for Prom
Just this week, my students had a wonderful promenade which I have witnessed. It was a night full of sophistication and sheer magic. Everybody looked stunning especially my female students who did their best to come up with the perfect gown of their choice to rock the evening. Clearly, my girls considered the plethora of dress guides and online shops like babyonlinedress.de available all over the net. I am ecstatic to see them all glam up and happy on such memorable occasion. I am also lowkey proud of how they handled themselves while sporting formal attires.
Though I have never experienced any promenade affair myself, I personally think that it is a great way to socialize and to look at the most glamorous version of myself. I know that just like any other special occasions like one's debut party or wedding, it could be stressful, but today, with so many choices before them, I'm sure it's a whole lot easier and fun. That being said, below are a few wedding dresses that I saw online that I would also consider wearing for my "dream" prom. Yeah, they're wedding dresses, I know, who said you can't wear one to prom? no one! lelz
I call this dress "Don't Mess with the Ice Queen" because that's the vibe that I instantly felt when I saw the picture. From what I know, every promenade ball follows a specific theme and I bet this gown would be perfect for a winter-inspired theme. My students followed the theme "Winter Stellar" for theirs' which combines the glam of winter and the stellar sky. Though none of my girls wore a white gown, most of them wore something similar in different colors. Nonetheless, the looked stellar.
Here I go again with my bias of the color red. It's just a really bold and fierce color that would certainly steal the onlookers' eyes and would make anyone look like a star. The fact that this second dress has shimmers in it, made it more gorgeous. I bet anyone who would wear this red dress would look instantly regal. This is one of those affordable dresses that you can wear. If I'm not mistaken, the dress only costs a bit more than a hundred USD making it a real score.
I'm never comfortable with cropped-tops, but I don't have anything against them either. I think they're a great way to show off a little bit of skin without going too far. This white cropped wedding dress definitely has that "wow factor" everyone aims for. I love its shimmery top paired with a plained satin skirt that is simple but still beautiful.
This last gown on my list is a lowkey but a really sexy champagne-colored dress. There's something in champagne-colored dresses that makes me fall for them all the time. Its color sends a romantic feeling all over me and somehow reminds me of Parisian weddings I've seen all over Pinterest. teehee Yes, I love browsing photos at Pinterest! :p Another thing that I like about dresses in similar shades is that it can be worn in so many glamorous occasions which means that if you're wearing this to prom or wedding, you can still wear it in other occasions. The dress about is perfect for any body type since it has most of the features found in an A-Line wedding dress.
Have you attended a Junior - Seniors Promenade ball? What type of dress did you wear? Did you also wear a wedding dress to prom? By the way, some of the dresses that I've featured above are from an online shop called babyonlinedress.de which sells fabulous dresses ready to ship at your doorstep! You can always have your dress tailored by your favored seamstress, but well, the more the options the better the choice, yight? :)
Looking at my students feeling themselves on their promenade made me realize that underneath all the glitz and glam from wearing the best dress, shoes, and makeup, a genuine smile shared with others is what makes a prom more memorable, and I'm glad they had more than that!
What do you think of the dresses that I picked? Would you consider wearing them on your prom as well? I hope you like them!
love lots,
Tin
