Wedding Dresses You Can Wear for Prom

Wedding Dresses You Can Wear for Prom
Just this week, my students had a wonderful promenade which I have witnessed. It was a night full of sophistication and sheer magic. Everybody looked stunning especially my female students who did their best to come up with the perfect gown of their choice to rock the evening. Clearly, my girls considered the plethora of dress guides and online shops like babyonlinedress.de available all over the net. I am ecstatic to see them all glam up and happy on such memorable occasion. I am also lowkey proud of how they handled themselves while sporting formal attires.

Though I have never experienced any promenade affair myself, I personally think that it is a great way to socialize and to look at the most glamorous version of myself. I know that just like any other special occasions like one's debut party or wedding, it could be stressful, but today, with so many choices before them, I'm sure it's a whole lot easier and fun. That being said, below are a few wedding dresses  that I saw online that I would also consider wearing for my "dream" prom. Yeah, they're wedding dresses, I know, who said you can't wear one to prom? no one! lelz
Wedding Dresses You Can Wear for Prom
I call this dress "Don't Mess with the Ice Queen" because that's the vibe that I instantly felt when I saw the picture. From what I know, every promenade ball follows a specific theme and I bet this gown would be perfect for a winter-inspired theme. My students followed the theme "Winter Stellar" for theirs' which combines the glam of winter and the stellar sky. Though none of my girls wore a white gown, most of them wore something similar in different colors. Nonetheless, the looked stellar.
Wedding Dresses You Can Wear for Prom
Here I go again with my bias of the color red. It's just a really bold and fierce color that would certainly steal the onlookers' eyes and would make anyone look like a star. The fact that this second dress has shimmers in it, made it more gorgeous. I bet anyone who would wear this red dress would look instantly regal. This is one of those affordable dresses that you can wear. If I'm not mistaken, the dress only costs a bit more than a hundred USD making it a real score.
Wedding Dresses You Can Wear for Prom
I'm never comfortable with cropped-tops, but I don't have anything against them either. I think they're a great way to show off a little bit of skin without going too far. This white cropped wedding dress definitely has that "wow factor" everyone aims for. I love its shimmery top paired with a plained satin skirt that is simple but still beautiful.
Wedding Dresses You Can Wear for Prom
This last gown on my list is a lowkey but a really sexy champagne-colored dress. There's something in champagne-colored dresses that makes me fall for them all the time. Its color sends a romantic feeling all over me and somehow reminds me of Parisian weddings I've seen all over Pinterest. teehee Yes, I love browsing photos at Pinterest! :p Another thing that I like about dresses in similar shades is that it can be worn in so many glamorous occasions which means that if you're wearing this to prom or wedding, you can still wear it in other occasions. The dress about is perfect for any body type since it has most of the features found in an A-Line wedding dress.
Have you attended a Junior - Seniors Promenade ball? What type of dress did you wear? Did you also wear a wedding dress to prom? By the way, some of the dresses that I've featured above are from an online shop called babyonlinedress.de which sells fabulous dresses ready to ship at your doorstep! You can always have your dress tailored by your favored seamstress, but well, the more the options the better the choice, yight? :)

Looking at my students feeling themselves on their promenade made me realize that underneath all the glitz and glam from wearing the best dress, shoes, and makeup, a genuine smile shared with others is what makes a prom more memorable, and I'm glad they had more than that!

What do you think of the dresses that I picked? Would you consider wearing them on your prom as well? I hope you like them!

Staple Pieces for Holiday Shopping

I am pretty sure that I'm not the first person to break the good news to you that the HOLIDAY season is finally here. Have you assembled your Christmas trees and started wrapping holiday gifts already? I haven't! I'm still trying to finalize what should be on my holiday list including what pieces should I rock this Yuletide season. That's an old-age question that never seems to grow out of magic. I honestly find it a bit stressful to think about it, but it's also one of the most wonderful feelings during Christmas. If you're anything like me who haven't started their holiday shopping yet, despite the fact that Black Friday sale has gone by, I have here some staple pieces for us to look chic amidst the definite hectic shopping game that lies ahead. Who says you can't look stylish when shopping? I always think that shopping is another good excuse to go out in style while of course, not sacrificing comfort. Comfort is essential when you have to go boutique hopping to score that perfect gift. From cute cardigans, skirts, to comfy pants, you're going to love reaching for the pieces of clothing below.
I could never let go of my classic black pants, be it fit or loose. I just love how I could just easily pair it with any top and boom, I'm ready to go! However, I have started pulling out a Long Casual Striped Pants out of my wardrobe. Stripes are one of my favorite patterns and I've figured out that it works well with any top just like my good ol' black pants. I also fell in love with loose pants as they make my busy days where I get to move around and be active so much easier, perfect if you have to grab the shoes of your dreams below the rack!
While you can always wear your pajamas and leggings in the most flattering way, it's great to experiment with fabric and patterns - something that I'm into lately. One of the pieces that I adore is Long Fitted Gingham Pants. We all know that ginghams aren't anything new, but I bet we can also all agree that they never go out of style! Try putting on gingham pants which scream Christmas by its holiday colors such as red, green, and blue, and you're definitely off to get that stylish shopping vibe.
When I'm feeling extra feminine when I'm about to go out, I always opt for a skirt. Not the short and tight-fitting ones but the comfy yet romantic ones such as Bootcut Yarn Plain Skirts. I love the fabric used in most yarn skirts and how I could easily pair them with any top. I would suggest getting the plain-colored ones so you can pair it with any top. I'm thinking tops with different patterns and prints such as polka dots. I also think that anything in red is instantly chic so if you have the chance, secure yourself with different women's bottoms, tops, and dresses in that passionate color. This becomes a staple piece for me because we can also wear the skirt on other holiday festivities - not only when shopping.
Any fashion enthusiasts would tell you that single-breasted plain skirts such as this Asymmetric Hem Single Breasted Plain Skirts are one of the trendiest pieces to wear. If you're not a fan of pants, some girls really do, then a stylish asymmetric skirt is perfect for you. It's hassle-free to wear and can be styled in so many ways possible making it a perfect holiday shopping wear clothing. As seen on the skirt from the online store Luvyle above, the hem also gives it an extra visual interest. If you want to stay warm, pair with ankle boots.
Don’t wait until spring to pull out the bright tops such as this Snap Front Striped Cardigan. The holiday season could get a little bit more chilly so when shopping outside, you may want to consider layering - a classic and a flattering way to say warm yet so stylish. Though some may associate colors to specific seasons, it doesn't hurt to take out an extra cheer and warmth wearing one.
Who says you can't wear a cardigan and be trendy? A cardigan in a bold color will give your overall look an instant spice. The secret lies in choosing a cardigan with a few flashes such as stylish cuts or tassels like Asymmetric Hem Tassel Cardigans. You can never go wrong wearing a cardigan - since it has what I want to call the three C's in clothing perfect for a whole day of shopping around the city - comfy, casual, and cozy. You can wear it with pants or skirts, or regardless if it's sunny or rainy.
I always believe that an unexpected pop of color will make any look anything but boring. These past few days, I've been eyeing tops that incorporate rainbow colors. I was never a fan of seeing rainbow colors in one outfit before but somehow, I now adore seeing them together. I can't even explain why, but I feel like wearing something with the vibrant colors that we all charm will make our holiday shopping so much better especially if it's on your beloved sweater! Above is one sample of Round Neck Striped Sweaters that you can easily put on and accessories. That's one of the best things in wearing something with rainbow, you can easily accessorize your outfit because of the colors. Plus, you get to show your love to the LGBT community. After all, Christmas is a jolly and bright holiday.

Like my picks? Let me know what you wear when you go holiday shopping in the comments section below.

5 Corporate Christmas Gifts for You and for Me

Hello, beautiful creatures! The holiday is obviously coming really soon which means we're going to find ourselves shopping and packing gifts. I love giving and receiving gifts regardless of any season and most especially when I get to receive something that the other person really thought about. Christmas for me is one of the many excuses to celebrate moments and appreciate our family, friends, and our co-workers. I love most of my co-workers and I'm happy that I got to work with some of the best people I know. I have a separate wish list for my "wants", but here, I'm going to list down things that I think are perfect corporate gifts. In the Philippines, it's mundane for most companies give food basket to their employees which is actually really good. However, what I took into consideration for this post are things which are practical and functional; something that can be used and helpful for a longer period of time. I don't have much but if I could have the time to buy my work buddies something for the holiday, these would be the gifts that I'll be getting for them (and for myself as well LoL).
iPad Pro Case
An iPad case might be a little pricey for some, but this is something that could last long and is functional for any employee whatever job position or account they belong. This a practical and classy gadget that can help store your valuable gadget and is available in any color. I do favor black or neutral colors as they can easily complement any work attire.
In buying a case for iPad pro, pick something that can fit your iPad well and is handmade. A case made with sheer craftmanship has reinforced stitchings that makes it durable. Also choose something that could let you adjust it in different angles. That just makes a total difference if you are viewing or reading something.
       Power Bank
Second on my list are power banks. Everybody uses a phoneextensions of our bodies, we need to have a trusted power source where we can charge them anywhere we want. A power bank is one of the easiest solutions that I can think of. I am really aching to have one since I don't have one yet. I'm crushing over those with We Bare Bears design because I haven't said it on my blog yet, but I am a big fan of the cartoon. They're just so cute and entertaining to watch. Do you love them too? :D
        Travel Handbag
The holiday season is one of the much-awaited time for a reason. Most of us think of going for a holiday getaway. Keeping that in mind, a unisex and versatile travel handbag would be a perfect gift. If you or your colleague doesn't have any plan to travel somewhere, a bag is still a great thing to have. It's something that you can use time and again not just for traveling. One may use it at work as well. I'm not thinking of going somewhere during the holiday season btw, I just think a bag is a really handsome thing to receive! :)
          Insulated Water Bottle
I do have water bottles already but what I want for Christmas is an insulated one. I'd like to have it of course with water,  but I also like having tea or coffee during the midday while working. I feel much calmer having tea or coffee. An insulated water bottle is perfect for anyone regardless of whichever drink suits their heart. Giving one to your coworkers or buying it for yourself is a good and subtle way to remind them or yourself of the importance of drinking water. There are a lot available online, some of which have really good decors that are pleasing to anyone's eyes.
Insulated Lunch Bag
Keep yourself and your ccoworkers satisfied with this insulated lunch bag. This bag is able to keep your lunch warm and has different compartments to store eating utensils.
          Fun Office Supplies
Inject something colorful and quirky to your coworkers' office life by giving them something creative and functional. A well-designed notebook or to-do list notepads are great ideas to inspire productivity. Studies from a few years ago actually stated that creating a to-do list or writing down the things that you have to accomplish can increase productivity. Moreover, writing is also a therapeutic thing to do, and having a "to-do" list helps a lot in organizing our thoughts. Those are something that I do and I feel like I really am more productive when I do them. In fact, I have this blog post on my current list. A notebook or notepad with a good design also keeps me highly-inspired. Something that has an inspiring or humorous note is also a certain way to brighten anybody's day.

There you have it, the corporate gifts I've been wishing for! :)

What gift would you give to your coworkers? Are we on the same page? Is there something that you'd like to add on the short list that I've created? Let me know in the comments section.
