That Sexy Back

    We all know how much fashion has evolved with all the styles and trends coming in and out in the industry. For sure we all do have our personal picks for our wardrobe essentials from our favorite casual tees to our power formal attires, the list is endless.

    Regardless of our gender and status in life, we all have that moment where our outfit needs to be decent in the best way possible. In that case, fashion portals will always go handy. No need to panic if you want something formal but fashionable. Simple solutions like a wonderfully made backless dresses are available. 

 You know how much I adore laces and florals so this one is the best staple for me. This is just simply breathtaking! Looking at its intricate back and flowing floral designs will surely make this dress stand out.

     Another one of the best that I found is this beautiful blush colored dress. Just how beautiful is this?! I love how the details in this one remains simple yet very stylish.

    I will always be a fan of backless dresses as I believe they are a great to maintain that slight hint of sexiness and femininity in anyone who wears them. They are also more decent looking that could match any formal and fun events.

EAT BUY TRY (Number 6)

It's been quite a while since I posted something for my Eat Buy Try section. Honestly this post has been sitting in my draft for quite some time now. lol I'm just prioritizing my posts or I'm just being lazy! ahaha Anyway, let's stop talking about laziness here and focus on the sixth entry of my blog's Eat Buy Try section.

EAT: The Suite Room

It's really true that once you graduated college, meeting your college friends will require so much effort. For so many reasons like work, setting up a meeting time and date could get really hard especially if you and your friends are not working on the same company.

I haven't met my friends Cherry and Alyssa for quite a long time since they transferred another company, so we decided to set a day for us to meet. My friends tasked me to look for a place and suggested 'The Suite Room' in Ayala Center Cebu.

The Suite Room is a fine dining restaurant so it's no wonder why it looks so classy, or in our language "sosyal" haha And I'm not gonna lie, most of the items from their menu are quite expensive. Well, what are you expecting from a fine dining restaurant? lol Even though the foods we had aren't that mind blowing, my friends and I still think that we had a blast because we were able to spend a really good time together.

Here are some snapshots from our dinner together, sorry the photos are not that clear. The lights inside the restaurant makes it hard for me to take them!

Lyssa, Cherry and I decided to go for the same thing. Lyssa said, "I'll order what Tine ordered 'cause I trust her judgment on foods." haha whatever that means lol
We had L.A Galbi (208php), which tastes really good. This comes with a side dish that we are free to choose from. L.A Galbi's cut actually reminds me of bacon except the fact that it isn't fried. 

I chose cream of squash soup as my side dish for the L.A Galbi. It tasted okay, which means nothing really special about it. It's not so creamy as I thought it could be but it taste generally fine.

Lyss and Cherry chose french fries as their side dish. And it tasted like regular fries haha

My BFF Shie chose something that is called All-of the Above, (I'm not so sure, I wasn't able to take note of its name), but it's a combination of some pesto, beef and salad.

My friends had shakes too. Lyss had Strawberry-Banana shake, Cherry had the Chocolate-Banana while Shie had the Ripe Mango shake. All of their shakes cost 90php. My friends were very satisfied because their shakes taste really amazing!

For our desserts, we decided to give their ice cream cakes a try, which were served after our meal. We only ordered two slices , but we didn't regret it because each of them were too big for the four of us! We couldn't even finish all of them haha And I have to warn you, if you want to try their ice cream cakes, bring a chainsaw! jk, just be ready because they are so hard. We had a very hard time slicing them lol hahaha 

The Apple Cinnamon Ice Cake (above) costs 218php it is really good, but then it is too hard to slice!

We also had the Green Tea Ice Cake which only costs 208php. This one tasted like green tea so it's a little bit bitter. I'll understand if you wouldn't love this so much, but if you love green tea as I do, then you will really enjoy this!

The hotel style ambiance of The Suite Room makes it a perfect place for any dining experience. Their foods are a little pricey but they are good and their service was excellent! I love how the staffs catered to our orders and they are also very polite. I think the place is also great for private dining experience because you will always find a suitable place when you get there.

They also have three branches, so you don't have to sweat yourself if the place is fully booked or not. We enjoyed our experience in The Suite Room, but for some reasons I don't consider it my favorite. I would still visit the place again though because the items in their menu are surely worth any try!

BUY: Body Essentials

(Green tea, Asian Lulur Body Scrub, Kojie-san Cleanser+Toner, Kojie-san Whitening Soap, Hana Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo) I bought some body essentials along with other grocery items recently. I've tried some of these items before while some are relatively new to me.

I believe in the power of green tea, so I always feel like something's good in any products containing green tea. I wrote a review about Asian Lulur Body Scrub which you can read in my previous post here. I will try to write a review about the other items that I haven't tried from the items on my haul soon.

I love Kojie-san products so I want to try their newly released Cleanser+Toner. I had some hair fall experience so I bought myself an anti-hair fall shampoo. I didn't have a specific product in mind when I was in the supermarket so I just picked Hana Anti-Hair Fall shampoo. Hopefully it will do it's job and minimize my hair fall.

TRY: Baking (Again)

    If you've checked my Instagram account, you might noticed that I posted several photos of baked goods. For some reasons I just love posting what I had baked because I love the inspiration that I get from Instagram. It also helps me keep track of what I was able to make.

    I started baking when I was in high school by our home economics classes, but when I started studying in college I wasn't able to do it again. The main reason is because we do not have an oven at home and I have to prioritize things as a student. Luckily I was able to save enough money to buy one after I graduated in college. Since then I started baking, again!

    Baking is a costly hobby but it is one of the most rewarding activity for me. I feel really happy when I successfully bake something and sharing them to the people I love. As of now I'm still learning and trying out new recipes. Perhaps I might share some of them here? hahaha

Wedding Dresses For All Sizes

I don't know why but recently, I can't help scanning through wedding related stuffs. I find myself scanning through them especially wedding gowns and invitations. Not that I'm getting married now, just being dreamy! lol A wedding is one celebration every woman looks forward to. It is something that women of all sizes deserve. Something as beautiful as a wedding should be celebrated by all women.

What a wonderful thing to know that there are websites that produce plus size wedding dresses that anyone can choose from. We all know not everyone got that runaway model body, although everybody is perfect.

If I were to get married, I would choose something with long sleeves and laces. Lots and lots of laces! Not only because I love the vintage vibe in them but I also personally think they are way more elegant.

Asian Secrets Lulur Body Scrub Review

Recently I've been trying out new brands for my body essentials. One of the things that I bought is the body scrub from Asian Secrets. Ever since this product came out of the market, I have been really curious about it. Finally, I decided to give it a try!

Asian Secrets Lulur's body scrub have three different variants that comes in different colors. They have the Licorice & Mulberry, Seaweed & Vitamin E  and the green colored one which contains Green Tea & Vitamin E. All of them contained other similar substances. I chose the green colored one primarily because it contains green tea.

The body scrub was marketed as a beauty ritual for Javanese Princesses especially on their wedding day. So let's imagine feeling like a princess every time we use this hahaha Sounds so good cause who said you need a crown to be Princess? lulur body scrub lang ang kailangan mo! LOL

Product Description:
Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub is a beauty treatment which originated from the royal palaces of Java,Indonesia and inspired by a ritual called lulur. Lulur was originally intended for the bride-to-be in order to beautify,smoothen and whiten her skin before the wedding day.

PACKAGING
The body scrub is packed just like any other cream/scrubs available on the market. It is sold in a plastic container with a plastic seal. The seal is the reason why buyers cannot distinguish the smell of one variant from the other. I'm totally fine with its packaging even though nothing's really special about it. It's a good thing that they each container has its own label and information. Warnings, directions, ingredients, and manufacturing information are all present in the container.

Here's what the body scrub looks like:

It literally looks like a melted cake frosting! ahahaha The body scrub smells exactly like Pond's facial wash! seriously, I'm not even kidding. I don't know why, maybe it contains the same ingredients and formula like Pond's? I don't know what the other variants smells like because I haven't tried them yet.

Directions

Scrub all over your skin specially the dark areas while it is dry to remove impurities,dead skin and dirt. Rinse with water.

I highly commend it for being gentle and smooth on the skin compared to other body scrubs. Here's what it looks like when I rub it on my skin:

As you can see, there are tiny grain like beads that serves as the scrub. I don't know what it's called but it amuses me lol

PRICE

I got mine for only 73 php. It contains 135 grams of the body scrub. It comes with a bigger package which costs higher. I chose not to buy the bigger one since I'm still testing if the product works for me.

Asian Secrets Lulur body scrub and other products are available on Watsons nationwide. It is also available in the body essentials in some malls (where I bought mine) and some popular drugstores.

*Tips

This is cliche, but please do read the information on its label before using it.
It's best to use the body scrub when you are all clean and set for a good night's sleep.

So far I've been loving the product because I really noticed how moisturizing it is on my skin. Sometimes the Philippine weather makes my skin so dry and I must say that every time I use the body scrub my skin feels smooth and soft, especially my arms and legs. 

The product is also marketed as an effective whitening  body, but right now I couldn't say that it is totally effective. I have a medium-fair skin tone and honestly, I haven't noticed any significant change on my skin color. It's okay though because I'm really not into skin whitening. I bought the product because of its function as a body scrub in the first place. If you're gonna ask me if it is worth it, YES! the product is worth it's price.

MAC Lipstick in Russian Red Review

I admit, I'm one of those lipstick girls. I am very much convinced that everything else in my makeup bag can go but never ever my lipsticks! Everybody looks instantly fab just by wearing their favorite lipstick. Some girls feel naked without their eyebrows lined and filled, but for me it's a different story. I feel helpless without my lipstick. chos!

Recently I decided to purchase another lipstick. I bought one from MAC which is in Russian Red. I love red lipsticks and I believe every girl needs one. Most of my red lipsticks are on darker shade so I decided to buy one which is lighter.

PACKAGING

Just like any other MAC lipsticks, Russian Red comes in a black bullet shape container. I love how sleek and portable it is. I also the fact that it doesn't have a loose cap like other brands. It closes tightly so I don't have to worry if the cap will open by itself once I place it in my makeup bag. 

The lipstick also twists up smoothly from its container. If you are an owner of a lipstick from MAC, you'll notice that faint vanilla/butter smell on it. It smells amazing so before I apply my lipstick, I couldn't help smelling it first hahaha

The bottom of the container also indicates important details about the lipstick like its color and finish. Details like its manufacturing date and other information are written all over the lipstick box.

PRICE

MAC lipsticks usually cost $15 to 16 USD. In Rustan's outlet in the Philippines they usually sell it for 1000php which is a little over $22USD. I was about to get one from Rustan's but then a friend in Instagram offered me one for only 840php, that's $18 USD. The price of the lipstick of course, depends from where you buy it. But I must inform you that MAC lipsticks are indeed quite pricey. It is pricey but it is worth it! I'll give you the reasons why on the PRO's list below.

Russian Red is one of the best red lipsticks from MAC. It is a classic red color which is suitable to any skin color. It isn't too light or too dark. It is lighter than Viva Glam I and a little darker than Ruby Woo. It has a matte finish but light and smooth on the lips.

It is best for a night out or classic/retro look. Depends on how much you eat or drink while wearing the lipstick, it is long lasting. I wore it for 6 hours long and it did last for six hours although it slightly faded when I ate something.

-has a sweet vanilla/butter smell

-comes in a great packaging

-has a very pigmented color that matches all skin color

CON's

-a little pricey 

MAC lipsticks always have something that is great in color and in texture. It's no wonder how it could make anyone's lips runaway ready. It is a little pricey but considering its positive features, it is worth it. It is super matte and very long lasting that I really do not need any retouch. I love my purchase and I will definitely love to buy another MAC lipstick.

DIY Pineapple Nail Art

Hello everyone! How was your holy week? I hope you had a good and blessed one. I believe it gave us the chance to a look forward to a new beginning with love.

Speaking of beginnings, the month of April marks the beginning of summer in the Philippines. And because of I have here a very simple and easy nail art tutorial for anyone who adores summer!
I looked for a tropical fruit nail art that I haven't done before and I've found a pineapple nail art.
I did on it on my nails, so why not share it with you?

Here are some of the nail polish colors that you will need. Any brand of nail polish will do as long as you got the color that are needed to create the pineapples.
♥Yellow nail polish ( Caronia nail polish in Sweet Surprise)
♥Orange nail polish ( Sassy Colors nail polish)
♥Green nail polish (Sassy Colors nail polish)
♥Colourless nail polish (Rain Colortrends in Sheer Bliss)
♥Nail art brush (optional)
The orange and the green nail polish that I'm using already have a nail art brush so I don't need to get one. If yours' doesn't have a nail art brush, then you will need one to create a clean look.

First you'll need to apply your base coat to protect your nails. After that, you may now proceed in the first step which is applying a bright yellow nail polish all over your nails. The brighter, the better!

Keep your hand as steady as possible while doing the second step. You may move your fingers for easier application.

You may start creating the leaves by using a light green color and start adding the darker green on its edges for a cartoony effect. Since I do not have a light green color with me, I just stick with the darker one. Ehehe

We all know the last step, apply a transparent/colourless nail polish to protect your nail art once all of the colors are dry. Now you have your own summer ready diy pineapple nail art!

Nail art just like any other art requires patience too. You can always get it done in nail salons too but you will be more proud if you did yours' by your own.
