Things To Wish For This Year

When I made this blog I never thought about expanding this into something or making this as a tool for networking. This blog of mine started as a simple hub of my art. This has been just an outlet of my emotion. Although blogging is considered to some as a medium of social networking, I never considered my blog as one before. That means I never thought of making new friends and meeting new people by blogging when I published my early posts.

As time goes by it just happened that my blog evolved into something more versatile and more accessible to other bloggers. As I interact with other bloggers, I started making new friends :) - blogger friends! Although I haven't met most of them in person I'm still very happy that they came into my life. One of my blogger friends is Shayne of Queen of All You See. You've probably know her by now and how amazing she is. If you don't, go check her blog!

I learn a lot from Shayne and reading her blog inspired me for so many times. Last week Shayne tagged me into writing a list of the things that I would like to have this year. It made me so happy that I need to make one ASAP! And here's the list:

 ♥A fashion piece I'd like to have most
Wala naman sa rules ni Shayne na isa lang so I'll list two! ahhaha
First, black pants from Topshop and the second one would be a pair of black heels with ankle strap from Forever 21. Pants from Topshop are expensive but they must be worth it! Plus, my idol Saab is wearing it so I should have one too lol I love heels although I don't always wear them. I already have one with ankle strap, but it is blue. I would love to have another one in black because it looks sexy!!! ahha
 ♥A beauty product I'd like to have most
I was suppose to write a lipstick from MAC but then I just bought one last week. Making this list is harder than I thought because I have so many things that I would love to buy, especially cosmetics haha For this year I would love to have the Beauty Blender sponge. I heard and saw how it works like magic so I would really love to get my hands on it! I can't seem to get over makeup brushes particularly blending brushes, so I would love to have the MAC 217 Blending Brush too. Lipsticks are my best friends and my dream lippie is the one from YSL Rouge Pur Couture in Rosy Coral. I would love to have something fresh and light since most of my lipsticks are on the dark side does that make sense? hahahaha
 ♥A project I'd like to finish
Since last year, I always wanted to do something with my bedroom. I always find myself drawing how I would like my bedroom to look like. I also enjoy writing down the decors that I would love to see on my bed. A bedroom makeover is something that I really want as soon as possible but I have to move to another city this June for my future job. So waley ang makeover pag di ko nagagamit ang room. So I'll save this project in my mind as of this moment and hopefully this will be realized before 2015 ends.

 ♥A destination I'd like to visit
If I will list all the places that would love to visit this year, this list would be endless. In that case, I'll just list one place that I will definitely visit this summer. I would love to visit the island of Bohol! It is relatively near Cebu but I haven't been there. Do or die I'll go there! hahaha
 ♥I want to wear more of
I'm really lazy dressing up if I don't have to go somewhere fancy like my workplace. I love fashion and I would gladly love to wear something more fashionable as much as possible. That includes heels which I seldom wear lol
 ♥Food I want to eat more of
Cakes! hahha would love to try to eat and bake different cake flavors this year! I would also love to eat different Asian cuisines and high fiber enriched foods.
 ♥A new skill to master
Last year I attended a brush calligraphy workshop and and I would love to enhance what I have learned from it. I also want to know more techniques in baking as it is something that I recently love doing again. Last but not the least, I want to master loving myself. I think that for so long, I focus and gather all my love for other people. Nothing's wrong with that, but I must admit that there are times I forgot loving myself. I would love to do something about that this year so I would love to love me more in a way that I deserve to be loved. After all, to love one's self is the beginning of a life long romance :) char

These are the things that I wish for this year. Hopefully, I will be able to conquer all of what I wrote here. I'm actually quite hesitant in sharing my dreams/aspirations to other people but recently, I found out that such kind of things are so much better when shared with others. It doesn't matter who, what matters is how much courage we take in pursuing them. The road to success is better when some kind of cheering is involved. And the road of failure isn't too hard when help and inspiration exists.

DIY Eye Cream

It's no secret that one of the things that bother girls are the dark circles underneath their eyes. A really good concealer will surely help in making it invisible but sometimes, the solution is easier than we thought.

There are so many reasons why a person develops eye bags or under eye circles. It might be because of stress, lack of sleep or it might because one has a thin layer of skin underneath the eye. It's not really a problem because normally, the skin under the circles of our eyes are really thin. Somehow, some people have thinner ones and that is the reason why they appear to have darker circles. And that's their veins showing up.

I'm no doctor as you know but I have here a natural dark under eye circles remedy that I have been using. This doesn't have a profound and immediate result but I must say that this really works based on my experience. I'm confident to share to you this DIY eye cream because I know that this is totally safe. Of course the effect might be different but you wouldn't lose so much money doing this and this is so fun. You can share this with your family or girl friends too once you are done!

WHAT YOU NEED:

There are only two ingredients that are needed for this DIY- matcha green tea powder and petroleum jelly. Any green tea powder will actually do. You may use scented or unscented petroleum jellies but I would recommend the unscented ones just because they are more natural.

Green tea is made from the leaves of a powerful plant that have undergone a minimal process of oxidation. A number of potential benefits has been proven about it and it has continue to make wonders in the world of medicine. It hydrates the skin, reduces stress and it contains antioxidants that helps protect your skin from the sun and prevent wrinkles. Too much for one product right? petroleum jelly on the other hand is an ointment that probably contains a "cure-all" benefit. It contains natural element that can help moisturize and repair damage skin. It is hypoallergenic and nonsensitizing which is really good for all types of skin. Quick trivia: petroleum jelly is Tyra Bank's lip balm! 

Both ingredients have profound moisturizing effect which is really good as one of the reasons why most of us have dark under eye circles is dehydration. Combine both and you'll see the result!

You may use any mixing tool and container that you want just make sure they are clean.

PROCEDURE:
I have here a step by step photographs of the procedure. You only need to follow these once you have all the things that you need.

Note/Tip:
Don't worry about looking like a monster after applying the cream because it doesn't have a strong green color at all. ( See photo on the left)

You may add Almond/Olive oil in the mixture if you want. For cooler application, store the cream in your refrigerator.

1. Are you using this on yourself?
-Yes, I am always using it!
2. Does it have any side effects?
-It doesn't have any side effects on me as far as I've been using it. I'm not 100% sure it wouldn't have on you because each of us have different skins and you might have allergy. But I personally do not think this can cause any side effects because the two ingredients are both wholesome and hypoallergenic to the skin. Like I said above, I'm no skin doctor. You might check first if you are allergic to petroleum jelly or green tea before using for your safety.
3. Does it feel oily?
- I don't consider it "oily" because after some time, the cream will settle on your skin. I don't feel any oilyness around my eye as I was using it.
4. How does the cream feels like on the skin?
- It feels exactly the same as a petroleum jelly.

Yolk Coffee and Breakfast Cebu Review

One of the things that I really,really love doing with my friends is trying out newly opened cafe and restaurants. I love how it brought us so much fun and time de-stressing and talking about life and sharing our dreams and inspirations. And of course, that includes eating! ahahha Seriously, trying new things like visiting new places is more fun and memorable when you do it with friends. I was more than happy to have my best friend Shie and her brother Japet with me to visit Yolk Coffee and Breakfast. Yolk Coffee and Breakfast is one the recently opened food destinations in Cebu City. 

We've read news about its soft opening and some interesting things about the place so we thought it was a great place to visit. Going there made me wanna write a review about it too simply because it is worth it!

The place is very cozy and homely. You can smell the freshly brewed coffee once you enter the door. Pwede siyang pang- library lol It's interior is full of warm and neutral pieces that makes the whole place more relaxing. Most of their decors are also Instagram worthy, that's why it isn't surprising that many Cebuanos post photos in Instagram when the place. Just look at that big map below and imagine taking a selfie! ahahha and by the way those cute yellow lights are made of mason jars!

I love how they arrange their furniture into different variations so that it could cater different kinds of customers. Some of the tables are perfect for big group of people and there are also some that are perfect for two or for smaller group.

Look!!! they placed some pencils on their tables!!! Just in case the writer in you comes to life or pang lista ng utang jk! ahhaaha 

Yolk Coffee and Breakfast mostly serves breakfast foods. Most of them are usual but all of them have their own twist! Here are some of the foods that we've ordered for our quick lunch:

We ordered the same kind of foods so I couldn't provide you some snapshots of the other foods from their menu. But since I'm such a good blogger, here are some photos of Yolk Coffee and Breakfast's menu:

Shie was so quick to notice the photo of the rooster on their menu. 

She said, ' Hey look! It's a rooster!!!!

Me: 'Yes, IKR. It's a rooster. Why?

Shie: The name of the place is Yolk,right? as in egg yolk?

Me: 'I don't know,why? What's the deal?'

Shie: 'Roosters don't produce eggs. They can't have egg yolks. This should be a hen."

Me: 'Oh yes!!!!!"

I love how they name the foods in their menu. The names are so cute!!!!

The place was so homely  somebody looked for a boyfriend while browsing at their menu. LOL

If you are looking for a relationship partner, go give this person a call! ahahha
Here are some inspirations from their decors:

Isn't it amazing? Isn't it surprising? Isn't it life-changing? ahhaha you be the judge!

I haven't tried all the foods on their menu, but I think nothing's so special about them. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed what we have. They are all amazing! The chocolate drink is just right. Not too sweet,not too bitter. The bacon and the eggs are thoroughly cooked and the garlic rice is great too. Those pancakes are also a real must have. It's just that most of their food can be easily bought anywhere e.g eggs,ham,bacon. Those are something that you can make by your own right?

When it comes to their service, they have an amazing one! From their guards to their servers, everybody is so nice and welcoming! They are so homely to be around and they will cater to your orders ASAP. They even asked us how's our order. It's something that is so good about the place. I will really go back to Yolk to try the other foods on their menu. Many people said their coffee is a bomb and they even got it outside the country. It's something that I look forward to! I can imagine sipping their coffee with their fluffy pancakes above with the sound of the rain in the background chos! That would be a perfect day!

In totality,Yolk Coffee and Breakfast is all worth it! The place is perfect if you want to go somewhere new and cozy. It is also best if you wish to stay somewhere a little private because it isn't located in a crowded place.
