Inspired Illustrations

Inspired by St.Filomena's portrait
Couldn't decide what to color her hair (black/brown) so I used both in reversed ombre.
Inspired by the colors of the Sinulog Festival
Feathers all the way!~
Inspired by Simeon Dumdum's poetry book about birds

'If I Wrote you a poem,will you let it fly?'
Simply because it's the year of the Horse. Show some respect
     Some "decent" illustrations I did from the past few days of my life.These are not the kind of drawings you'll consider mind blowing but I guess everything born out of inspiration is worth sharing. I was never the kind of person who lives by inspiration and inspire others. Maybe for some instances I did but I never thought about doing this and that to inspire others. Perhaps some people are born for that.
     When asked 'who inspired you bla bla bla.." it's really difficult for me to answer such question. I do not really have someone who inspires me the most ( not even my family) Please don't ask me why as I do not have answers for you. I usually do things at the spur of time. Maybe I just always suck at keeping up in any motivations. There are also times where I find myself asking what's the point of everything. Oh the perks of being 20. Midlife crisis ang peg? lol Or maybe without noticing, I'm still looking for an inspiration. Or worst, I do have some but I'm on denial. Midlife crisis na tlga to.lol. Having an inspiration is a good thing but I'd like to think that it isn't necessary to keep you going, you just have to keep going and finish what you need to finish.
       I do not even see the point of posting this post. I  just wanna clear some question running through my head.

Before you leave this page,feed my curiosity:
What/who inspires you?

Tin

Wanderlust

Wanderlust
Model: Valerie Jo Escrupolo
Photography by: Yours truly
     My first time to work with Valerie for a shoot. Valerie is one of my classmates and friends in the university. We did the shoot for one of my requirement in school that tasked us to produce pictorial shots. I had a very limited time then and  a hard time looking for a model. What I have in mind is a vintage inspired shot. Yea, I know it's kinda cliche now but I one to take shots of my own.
      Luckily, Valerie was online on fb so I grabbed the chance to ask her if she could be my model. I am more than happy when she said yes. Valerie is the model I have in mind. She's perfect for the theme. Look at that impassive expression of her ahaha and of course, her skinny legs. Valerie isn't tall but she's got a body of a model. Not to mention she poses like one too. I never had a hard time taking her photographs as I do not need to direct her what to pose. She really acts like pro. I am more than happy about the results too.
       If you're gonna ask me why I didn't consider the pictorial shots before is that I need to have photographs fresh from the camera- that is unedited and directly developed. More points-my professor said. hehehe

Here are some of the photographs I chose to develop from the shoot:

  We managed to take more photographs during the shoot with Val wearing another outfit. I'll save them for another post. I hope Wanderlust won't be the last time Val will model for me because it's so awesome to work with her. If you're living around Cebu and want her to model for you I can inform her if you want to. Feel free to comment what you think about the photographs below. Ciao!

Brief story about the photo above: Right before I took a ride back to the city a dog from the park was hit by a motorbike. The dog shook vigorously just before it die. The motorbike driver saw the dog and stop but didn't do something and just stare. I too just did nothing but stare. I don't know why but the image of a dying dog before my eyes made me so sad.
     Another time of year spent gathering with my high school besties. Spent the whole night at Green Lagoon Park to celebrate my friend Shiena (mhamie)'s 20th birthday. The party isn't a blast and something headache giving happenings took place. Nevertheless we enjoyed each other's company. The night was spent laughing, loving, and reminiscing memories from our high school days, in short having fun.
        As much as we love to stay we took a ride back to the city at 5 in the morning (Katy and I have school appointments). I arrived home at 7AM and went straight to school at 8. You can only imagine how "sabog" I looked like.haha. Danao is a piece of heaven but made more ethereal by my friends. The place is worth the visit and we can't wait to visit the place again soon.
:)

Enjoy the photos above.

Let Me Be Your Picasso

Let  me be your Picasso
let me turn
your bright eyes
into a portrait of
God's perfect paradise.

Let me be your Picasso
let me draw
what's on your heart
what's inside your heart
and what's behind it.

Let me be your Picasso
let me fill
your perfectly architectured
museum of thoughts
with different works of love.

Let me be your Picasso
let me dress
the nudity of your grief
and undress the virginity
of your smile.

Let me be your Picasso
let me paint
all the blues out of you
and turn them into
roses of infinity.

Let me be your Picasso
let me slice and dice
the sublime beauty of life
into cubes
of poetry about you.

Theater Make Up

     Hello everyone! Sorry for my long hiatus in blogging :) As a graduating student, I've been bombarded by a battalion of projects, making me a busy bee. hehe
    One of our final requirement is to produce a theatrical performance, that means we need a lot of things to prepare, not to mention time,money, effort and of course-make up! Our professor taught us the basics of theater make up weeks before we will have our play. Some of my co-actors/classmates asked me to do their make up for our upcoming play. Here are some of the make up look I did for them.

Make up for Metchelli
Metchelli will play the role of Donya Francisca :)
Make up for Charmaine
Charmaine will play the role of Divina- a kikay and always "on trend" teenager.
Make up for Joanna
My favorite model and best friend played the role of Marie, a spoiled 17 year old girl.
Joanna acted for another play but I still did her make up for their pictorial.

 I did my own make up for my role :)
I will be playing the role of Dolores-a rich and strict woman lol
wala akong make up artist! LOL
This one's not a make up for the play
I was just bored last week, next thing I grabbed my make up brushes and did a Kryz Uy inspired make up on my face. haha. achieved ba? :p

By the way, here's a soft copy of the poster we printed for our play- What Happened Last Night. I'll save the details of the play for another post soon :)

Thank you so much for reading my blog :)
Tell me your thoughts in the comment box below.
See you <3
