Metamorphosis (Make-up Guide)

It's really a wonder how a make-up can change one's appearance. Just by using proper make-up colors and basic brush techniques you can transform yourself into a young and beautiful princess into an old woman or into an ugly old witch.
Earlier this month, our Speech and Stage Arts professor tasked us to group ourselves into three and transform each other into the beautiful Princess Rapunzel, to an 86 year-old woman and to the old witch in Hansel and Gretel.
Before applying  make-up to each other's faces, our professor asked us to prepare different make-up palettes for the three looks. These palette will serve us our guide in creating our assigned looks.
Below are some photographs of the make-up palette created for the three looks assigned to us. I call these pallettes- Metamorphosis.

For Princess Rapunzel, I used palette in light and feminine colors. A combination of golden yellow and earth brown for her eyes will complement to her beautiful blonde hair. Light brown eyebrow color and pink blush on for her total royal look. A combination of pink and nude lip color is what I used for her lips.

The old woman make-up is the easiest to decide. You only need to work on heavy contours and highlights. If possible, you may erase the person's eyebrows by using glue sticks or you may use matte gray eye shadows to color her eyebrows. A matte nude lipstick is the most appropriate lip color.

Creating the witch look is very challenging. Aside from make-up, you also need prosthetics to achieve a perfect witch look. You will  need it for the witch's nose and chin. If you do not have any prosthetics with you, you may create your's using tissue papers and glue. A combination of deep red and black lipstick will help you create a bolder evil look. In contouring the witch's face, you only need to do the same pattern as the old woman's, the only difference is your choice of colors. For the witch's look, a combination of black and brown colors is better.

On A Shoestring to Cebu Zoo

Hello guys! Save the nature, save my future! I'm not looking in the camera to look sincere. lol

1st pic: Look snakeeeeeesss!!!
2nd pic: o-oh, big snakes...not touching those!!!

Can you spot the snake's head? :D

               Eagles

Rudolph's sad :(

Say Cheese!!!!!
Yes, you can touch the snakes and take some pictures with them. They're trained alright? and it's for free! You can ask the zoo attendants to take your pictures, they're very friendly.

Who loves Cheese? :D

I'm one proud sister of this brave little boy!

Meet Marianno- a 63 year old crocodile. He's huge but worry not he had a huge heart too :) he doesn't bite anyone. According to the zoo keeper, Marianno's been trained to get close contact with people. Well at least he haven't bite anyone yet lol

I'm fat and brave and I love it! hahaha
If you're gonna ask me how does a crocodile's skin felt like,it feels like a hard rubber like a tire or something, same like the snake's skin.
Marianno's feet, told ya he's big!

More crocs

This one's not a croc,this one's an Iguana

This dude can talk!
I didn't know this Parrot could talk until he does. I thought he was just making some bird sounds but when he talked and talked.I realized he was trying to say Hi and Hello. And god, he's so cute, look at those blue eyes!!!

Watcha starin' at?

Cuteness overload!!!!

The Road Not Taken
Hello! We're going home.Bye-bye!!!

Taking a break from a hectic schedule is one way of relieving stress and adding more enjoyment in life. Since the end of the first semester I feel like doing something new or travelling far from home. First semester's very disappointing for me *something personal, not the kind of thing you wanna hear and the second one bores me a lot*. I don't know why but I hardly had any appetite with all those school b*llsh*ts (sorry for the word)
To take my time to review my life and everything else in between, I've been looking for something new to do. Fortunately, I got a copy of Sunstar's Bisdak Magazine featuring Cebu Zoo. The article was really interesting so I thought I might visit the place. I haven't been in a zoo for a very long time and my baby brother haven't visit any zoo yet. I didn't have much money with me, thus this trip is on a shoestring. Thanks to our mom though, she prepared us some snacks to splurge on when we get there.
If you're living around the city and looking for new ways to have some fun,why not try visiting Cebu Zoo? The place might give you another angle of life :)

How To Get There:
(info. from Sunstar Magazine and from my experience)
-From the Capitol's side, ride a motorcycle passing Opra and Brgy. Kalunasan.
- You can also pass through Sudlon,Brgy.Lahug passing the Beverly Hills. Motorcycle rides are also available.
-If you can afford a taxi, that's good, but you won't enjoy sunshine and cool air :p
-If you own a private vehicle, that's also fine, saves you a lot, but you won't be able to help motorcycle drivers earning for a living :D
- Motorcycle ride costs 25php-30php

Entrance to the zoo costs:
- 25php for adults
-10 php for kids

The Zoo is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM everyday.

Taking pictures with the animals is absolutely FREE :)

Barbie Pictorial

Barbie inspired make-up
Barbie: Joanna Lanojan
Shoot Location: Plaza Independencia
MUA/Photographer/Stylist: yours truly
Dress: from my sister's wardrobe
Accessories: Model and stylist's

Long blond hair, colorful sweet eyes, flawless skin, who wouldn't recognize Barbie with these descriptions? One word to describe Barbie- beautiful!. No wonder my friend Joanna fell in love with that doll and wants to copy her looks.
Yesterday, Joanna and I set a schedule for a Barbie themed pictorial. We actually thought about it since last year but it was only this year that we were able to come up with a perfect timing. I got my new camera last month and bought new cosmetics last week so everything was all set.
Truth is I never really liked Barbie. I mean, I never played a Barbie doll for a long time since I was a child and I never let her lived in my childhood memories.char But my friend Joanna is different she LOVE Barbie a lot, the reason why she's been ranting me about making her look like her favorite childhood toy,Barbie!
Posted above are some photographs during our Barbie pictorial. I love how everything turns out great. From her make-up to her outfit, everything's so Barbie.haha  Barbie's supposed to have a straight, long, blonde hair but we don't have any blonde wig available :( good thing, Joanna managed to borrow her sister's hair extensions so Barbie:The Island Princess is our peg.lol I love how I  achieved her Barbie look despite of the seemingly limited time we have. Her make-up alone took me an hour to finish phew! I even thought we couldn't finish doing the pictorial but somehow we did and I'm very grateful about it.
Feast your eyes and let me know what you think on your comments below. This post is for all Barbie lovers out there. Hope you like it!

love lots,
Tin

Happy Birth Date

photo from CMYK

Last December I celebrated my 20th birthday. I woke up with a wonderful dream and I'm very glad that my day went as wonderful as it was. The day before my birthday, my baby sis Rose and I already planned a "birthday date" to celebrate le birthday's.
The afternoon before our date, both of us went to school for a Christmas party with our co-majors. The party was simple but very memorable. It was a blast of memories worthy to be treasured but I'll save that for another post :) heheThe party ended rather late as we enjoyed it a lot. It was around 7pm when we arrived at our dating place- CMYK Dessert house.

Brief info. about CMYK:
CMYK is known to stand for Cyan Magenta Yellow and Black; the four primary colors for image printing. As one of the owner is a passionate photographer, she saw it /as only/ fitting to have this (CMYK) as the theme of the place and chose these very colors to dawn over the dessert house. You will even find these color schemes on the scrumptuos desserts available to you at CMYK dessert house.

In CYMK dessert house, the CMYK stands for Chocolates Make You Kiss.

The dessert house is owned by one of my favorite Cebuana photographer, Lea of Lea Goes On. Feel free to check her lovely site :) Here are some pictures taken during my birthday date with my baby sis. Sorry for the photo quality, these pictures were taken using my old camera. It's really a handful to use it. Nevertheless, I am glad to capture this precious moment :)

Say "Happy Birthday!"

My cute baby sis Rose :)

Here are some reasons why CMYK is extra special:

Their boredomkillers
Their wonderful wall decorations

This is probably the yummiest tissue holder ever!

CMYK is a great place for special occasions like birthdays. Just look at these colorful buntings!

It is also great for a family get together

And for spending time with your special someone <3

And of course, with your friends :)

My sister ordered a chocolate shake, while I chose strawberry milk shake for me.Both of us had CMYK's ever chocolateyy Chocolate Mug Cake. Because plates are too mainstream haha
